Anna Corsbie married her first husband John English Tabor of Bocking in Essex in 1838. She painted these charming watercolors of common but iconic Britishflowers found in English gardens, shortly after that. The album includes the following subjects: three varieties of sweet pea, a daffodil, jonquils, narcissi, a hyacinth, a pelargonium, bluebells, cyclamen, convolvulus, nasturtiums, belladonna, a crocus, a Sweet William, an iris, fuscia, a Turk’s-head lily, and a red English rose.
