The Swan goose (Anser cygnoides) has been present in China for thousands of years, with evidence of its domestication dating back to the 5th millennium B.C., approximately 7,000 years ago. The Northern Shoveler (Spatula clypeata) is a migratory bird that has been visiting Southern China for centuries. In contrast, the American Wigeon (Anas americana) is a rare visitor or vagrant in China, with only a few documented sightings of individuals.
