| 'Portraits of Game Animals' recounts the findings of Captain William Cornwallis Harris and fellow avid hunter Richard Williamson on their two year safari through southern Africa. The pictures were drawn by Harris, and reproduced on stone by F.Howard in London. Each image was originally accompanied with an excerpt of text describing the 'Cape Colonists' first impression of the particular species represented in the print. | |||
